From family to family: 300 households and more than 2,000 people involved in this Network for Native Bees.

We are building a network of bee sanctuaries: agroecological areas where native bees live, reproduce, and continue to weave life.

Network of Bee Sanctuaries

We were founded in 2016 as a circle of friends, united by love and the mission of caring for native bees. Since then, our movement has grown through mutual support and the exchange of knowledge, which strengthen trust among people and within our territories. We are guided by the strength of our grandparents, popular education, and the motivation to preserve the biocultural legacy of our communities for future generations.

"More than just a technical event, the gathering turned into a true celebration of bees. Over the course of three days, participants shared knowledge, experiences, emotions, and the deep affection they feel for native bees. The atmosphere encouraged reflection on the ancestral practices associated with beekeeping and on the need to revive them from a sustainable perspective, placing the health of bees and their contribution to the well-being of families and communities at the center."
